Take action and build a better world.

At Congregation Beth Emeth, we believe in the power of social action - giving back and making a positive impact in our community. Our Social Action Committee offers a variety of opportunities to get involved, no matter your interests or time commitment.

Here's how you can make a difference:

Fight Hunger at the Soup Kitchen

Every Sunday, we serve hot meals to those in need at the Sister Maureen Joyce Center. Join our friendly team to help with food prep, serving, and cleanup. It's a great way to give back and meet new people!

Grow Food for Our Community

Diane's Farm, our on-site garden, provides fresh produce for our Soup Kitchen. Lend a hand weeding, planting, and maintaining this beautiful space.

  • No experience necessary! We welcome volunteers of all ages and skill levels.

  • We meet seasonally on Wednesdays (4:30-7:00 pm) and Sundays (8:30-11:00 am).

  • During peak season (July 2 - September 1), we also have additional hours on Sundays (10:00 am-12:00 pm) and Wednesdays (4:00-6:00 pm).
