This year, we honor the legacy of the late Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. by commemorating the Shabbat nearest to MLK Day as Shabbat Tzedek (Tzedek is the Hebrew word for Justice), and welcome RISSE-Albany to hear about their work supporting refugees and immigrants in the Capital Region.

As we remember the life and work of Dr. King, we celebrate the hard-fought victories of the civil rights movement and recognize that there is still work to be done.
