Honoring Shabbat Tzedek: An Evening of Justice and Action
How do we transform our prayers into practice? On Shabbat Tzedek, we pause to honor the pursuit of justice (Tzedek) and our collective responsibility to care for the vulnerable among us.
As it is written in Isaiah 58:7, we are called "to share your bread with the hungry and to bring the poor, the outcast, into your home." This year, we put those words into action by welcoming a special guest to our community.
Service & Guest Speaker
Friday, January 16 at 5:30 pm During our Shabbat service, we are honored to host Stacy Dedring, Director of Advocacy at the Regional Food Bank. Stacy will share her expertise on the current state of food insecurity in our region and how we, as a faith community, can advocate for a world where no one goes to bed hungry.
