Jews around the world take a break from some of the restrictions of the Omer on this day including cutting hair and trimming beards. This is also a popular day to get married in traditional communities because you cannot get married during the other 49 days of the Omer. Either way, it's a good excuse for some celebration, a new haircut, or a barbeque/bonfire!
