Classical Piano Recital Featuring Asya Markova
Details
When Asya Markova was 10 years old, she became a student of the Kharkov Children MusicSchool #1 named after Ludwig van Beethoven. She was a student there for 8 years.
2 years after graduation from the Music School #1, she was admitted to the Kharkov Musical College. Due to her excellent piano playing skills, she was accepted to the 2nd year course instead of the 1st one. While she was studying at this college, she participated in the music competition where she played Edvard Grieg’s Piano Concerto A Minor, Parts 2 and 3.
After graduating from the Musical College, she was accepted to the famous Kharkov Conservatory, the leading music and drama institution of higher education in Ukraine where she was a student for 6 years.
The next stage in her music career: she started working as a piano teacher at the same Kharkov Children Music School #1 where she was a student herself. Many of Asya’s students became piano teachers and performers all over the world – USA, Israel, Denmark, Germany and England. And despite it has been so many years since Asya was their music teacher, they still call her periodically and say how forever grateful they are for everything she has done for them.
