Brotherhood Torah Schmooze Virtual
Details
Connect. Debate. Schmooze.
Looking for a relaxed way to dive into Jewish wisdom without the pressure of a formal classroom? Join us for our new monthly Brotherhood Torah Schmooze, an evening dedicated to exchanging ideas, sharing perspectives, and building community.
Thanks to the initiative of Brotherhood member Stephen Weitzman, we’ve carved out a space once a month to explore current Torah topics through the lens of our own lives and experiences.
Why Join Us?
- Relaxed Atmosphere: No textbooks, no tests—just coffee, camaraderie, and conversation.
- Low Barrier, High Insight: Whether you’re a seasoned scholar or just "Torah-curious," your voice belongs here.
- Engaging Debate: We gather to learn, share opinions, and connect through the spirited exchange of ideas.
- No Prep Needed: Just bring your curiosity and a good sense of humor.

What to Expect
Each month, we’ll tackle a new topic rooted in Jewish wisdom. We’ll skip the lecture and go straight to the "schmooze," debating how ancient insights apply to our modern lives. No prior Torah study experience or advanced Jewish knowledge is necessary—just a willingness to listen and learn from one another.
>“Come for the Torah, stay for the brotherhood.”
This months's Brotherhood Shmooze will focus on AI's, the legend of the Golem and whether or not in 2026 we have Golems among us.
In case you would like to get a head start on the topic, or are not sure what a Golem is, here are links to a video and a short blog on the topic.
