Bond Beyond the Trail
Details
Join us for Bond Beyond the Trail, a special event for active adults and couples to connect with one another and with God in a beautiful, natural setting. This event is open to all members of the community, whether you are a member of Brotherhood, Congregation, or a newcomer.
We'll meet up at a trailhead in the scenic Lake George Area on Saturday, October 4, at 9:00 am (exact location will be shared with registrants). The trail offers options for different activity levels: an out-and-back hike of less than two miles or a more challenging 4-mile round trip with an elevation gain of around 1,400 feet. We'll begin our journey with a prayer to set our intentions and spiritually prepare for our time together.
Please remember to bring your own lunch and snacks to enjoy on the trail. We anticipate finishing the hike and wrapping up around 6:00 pm, with the option for a celebratory dinner in the afternoon to further our connections.
This gathering is a perfect opportunity for rest and recovery after Yom Kippur, and a chance to get excited for Sukkot and Simchat Torah. It embodies the values of Avodah (worship experience) and G'milut Hasadim (connecting with one another in kindness).
A group size limit of around 15 people has been set to ensure a meaningful and personal experience for everyone.
For any questions, please email Brotherhood@CBEAlbany.org. For urgent needs on the day of the event, you can contact Brotherhood Programming Chair Mark Swyer, whose cell phone number will be shared in a confirmation email to registrants.
We can't wait to share this experience with you and build our community, one step at a time.
