Help Madelyn Make a Difference With Her Mitzvah Project!

My name is Madelyn, and I am working on a community service project in honor of my upcoming Bat Mitzvah in July 2027. My goal is to make and donate 100 handmade hats and blankets for cancer patients and babies in the NICU.

I am partnering with Knots of Love, a nonprofit organization that provides handmade knitted and crocheted items to people in need of comfort and care.

I would love your help! Whether you knit, crochet, or simply want to support the project, there are two ways to get involved:

  • Make a hat or blanket. Please consider creating an item to donate to Knots of Love as part of this community service project. All yarn must meet Knots of Love’s requirements for softness and safety. In addition, there are specifications for blanket sizes and other guidelines for submissions, including: items must be new, fragrance, smoke, pet hair, and odor-free, washed and thoroughly dried. Free patterns, permitted yarns and the submission guidelines from Knots of Love may be found on their website: Free Patterns | Knots of Love

Every hat, blanket, and skein of yarn will help me work toward my goal and bring comfort to someone who needs it.

Thank you for helping me turn my Bat Mitzvah into an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of others!

For questions or to arrange pick-up, please contact Jen Nisoff at Jnisoff@yahoo.com.

With gratitude,

Madelyn
