I’m reminded how meaningful it is to be part of a community that gathers to learn, celebrate, reflect, and support one another.
This July issue of The Bulletin comes just as the 2026–2027 membership year begins. I’m excited to start a new year with you!
Over the past few months, we’ve welcomed several exceptional staff members to our team. While I have the pleasure of working with them every day, I know that many of you have yet to meet Irene, Courtney, Siobhan, and Susan. I’ve heard from several members that with so many new faces, it can sometimes be difficult to know who to contact for what you need. To help make things easier, we’ve included a section in this issue that describes the responsibilities of each member of our administrative staff. We hope this guide will help you connect with the right person and get the assistance you need more easily.
I’m also pleased to share that we’ll be publishing The Bulletin ten times this year, so you can expect more regular communication about what’s happening at Beth Emeth and the many ways you can get involved in the life of our community. The August/September edition will also serve as your guide to the High Holy Days, which begin this year on September 11.
If you’d like to “go green” and receive your copy digitally rather than by mail, please call the office and let us know.
Right around the time you receive this issue, you’ll also receive communication about Annual Commitment. As we did last year, we are asking you to affirm your commitment level for the coming year. You’ll also be able to indicate your preferred payment method and schedule. The mailing will also contain information about how you can be involved in Sisterhood and Brotherhood in the coming year This once-a-year process helps us plan responsibly for the year ahead based on an accurate understanding of our membership.
If you have any questions about your commitment, the process, or anything else about Beth Emeth, please don’t hesitate to give me a call or send me an email. I’m always happy to connect.
As we begin this new membership year and look ahead toward the High Holy Days, I’m reminded how meaningful it is to be part of a community that gathers to learn, celebrate, reflect, and support one another. Whether you connect through worship, learning, volunteering, or simply sharing space with fellow congregants, your presence helps make Beth Emeth the vibrant community that it is. I look forward to seeing many of you in the months ahead and welcoming the new year together.
